| Directions by Car: | From the South: Take the left turn to Alnwick from the A1, about thirty miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne. At the bottom of the slip road head straight over the roundabout past the BP garage on the right hand side. Follow the road towards the town centre, then turn right at the first roundabout you will encounter, heading away from the town. From the North: Take the left turn to Alnwick from the A1, about thirty miles south of Berwick upon Tweed. The slip road from the A1 takes you to a T-junction where you turn right. You will enter the town at the War Memorial, at a T-junction where you should turn left and head back out of the town, continuing straight over the one roundabout you will encounter. From both directions: Head out of the town on the A1068. After about 1 mile, you will reach Hawkhill Business Park, on the left hand side of the road. Take the second entrance to the left. Park in the small car-park, or in the courtyard. Tagish is based in the long building closest to the road. Our main entrance is to the right hand end of the building. |
| Directions by Rail: | The nearest railway station to Hawkhill is Alnmouth for Alnwick, about four miles to the east of Alnwick and on the East Coast Main Line. Train journey times are about 3.5 hours from London and 1.5 hours from Edinburgh. There are approx 15 trains per day in either direction offered by GNER and Virgin Railways. Tagish can often arrange to meet visitors at the station. More services are available at Newcastle upon Tyne for travellers to and from the south, or Berwick upon Tweed for travellers to and from the north. Both of these are thirty miles from Alnwick. A bus service, the 505 route, links Newcastle to Berwick via Alnwick. |
| Directions by Air: | Tagish is about thirty miles north Newcastle International Airport (phone +44 (0) 191 214 4444), which has connections to Heathrow, Gatwick, Amsterdam, and a number of other UK & European destinations. Edinburgh airport is about ninety miles to the north of Tagish. |
